BERGLAND CAMPING

Situated on a working wine and stone fruit farm at the foot of the Olifantsberg Mountain, Bergland Campsite is about 15km from Worcester and about 1 hours drive from Cape Town.

Hugged by majestic mountains, surrounded by Fynbos, vineyards and towering trees, this exclusive campsite is what nature lovers’ dreams are made of and a must-visit for families and groups alike.

Bergland Campsite offers the ultimate escape from city life …a truly wonderful place to unwind, in a tranquil farm setting.

CAMPSITE INFORMATION

  • Campsite 15:             ±12m x 11m
  • Campsite 14:             ±28m x 6m  (tents)

ABLUTION INFORMATION

  • One communal ablution block with separate male & female units
  • Female unit – 3 toilets, 3 showers, 3 basins and a separate unit with bath and toilet.
  • Male unit – 3 toilets, 3 showers, 3 basins and 2 urinals
  • Warm water showers & bath
  • Campers to bring own toilet paper
  • Clean drinkable water

FISHING & WALKING TRAILS

Campers are welcome to wet their lines with plenty of fresh water black bass in the dam on the campsite. Here we believe in “catch & release” therefore we ask our campers to also adhere to this rule.

Walking trails with beautiful scenery and mountain biking routes are on offer waiting for you to explore.

 

DIRECTIONS:

  • On the N1 from Cape Town to Worcester.
  • As you exit the Huguenot Tunnel, continue on the N1 for 33,3km before you turn left on the R43 towards Ceres.
  • Continue on the R43 for approximately 5,4 km and turn right at the Apiesklip sign onto a gravel road.
  • Continue on the gravel road for 3,5 km until you see the Bergland entrance on your left, turn left.
  • Continue on that road until you see the Bergland venue on your right.
  • Go past the venue and vineyard block on your right.
  • You will get to a “T” in the road and a sign that shows the campsite to your right, turn right.
  • At the next “T” in the road, you will see a sign that shows campsite to your left, turn left.
  • We do not have a formal check-in office, please proceed to the campsite on arrival.
  • Contact us for payment if the full amount of your booking is not settled.
  • CARD FACILITIES AVAILABLE.

RATES:

Rates valid 1 January  – 30 August 2025

Adults and children 13 years and older – R200 per night
Children 2 -12 years – R100 per night
Children 0 – 23 months – Free

One night camping – R350 per site (1 guest)
R500 per site (2 guests) thereafter per person rates apply for any additional guests per plot
to a maximum of six guests per site.

* Weekends minimum of 2 nights
* Long weekends minimum of 3
